The human psychology says that the stress within the mind is released when you express yourself. For expressing oneself, it is beneficial when someone is there to listen. Listening is an art. There is a difference between ‘to hear’ and ‘to listen’.
A normal human being is always surrounded by endless and vicious cycles of expectations, relationships, dreams, obsession, jealousy, comparisons, betray and much more. The issues created by these cycles are mostly cureless. It often happens that, these issues, entangles the human mind and heart resulting into a stress or burden which is unseen. Out of this different stress, many of them are inexpressible even to your near and dear ones for different reasons.
You feel like talking to someone and express yourself but you have a fear that the opposite person ( perhaps your near and dear one) may not understand you or may reveal your thoughts to somebody. The fear of you not being understood by the person or the leakage of thoughts stops you from expressing yourself.
Frustration develops within as you are unable to express yourself which results in stress which over a period of time results in different physical or mental diseases. It is as simple as taking care of your body. Just as you take proper food to protect your heart or you do proper exercises to keep yourself fit, the same way the thoughts in the mind and feelings in the heart are to be properly taken care of. Just as we remove the unwanted elements (virus, bacterial etc) from our body in the same way the disturbing thoughts and heartburning feelings have to be pushed out by way of expressing them in order to keep your mind and hearts relaxed and fit for much more other necessary activities of life and move on.
